Chicken Gongura – Non Spicy


Chicken Drumsticks (Legs) – 8 wash and Cut flesh in to small pieces and bone into half
Onion – 2 chopped
Tomato – 2 chopped
Ginger – garlic paste – 2 tsps
Oil – 3 tbsps
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt – as per taste
Red Sorrel Leaves (Gongura) – 1 bowlful Wash and finely chopped
Methi – 1/2 bunch Finely chopped
Curry Leaves – few
Fresh coriander – a handful chopped

To Prepare

Chop onions and keep half of them aside.Now heat a pan,add oil and half of the onions and fry well,add gin-gar paste brown well and add chicken saute for 3-4 mins.
Now add powders,salt,curry leaves,chopped tomatoes and cook covered for 4-5 mins.
Then add chopped greens and saved chopped onions and 1/4 cup water and cover cook 3-4 mins.
Check for Doneness and turn of heat and add fresh coriander.

I have’nt Used green chili or garam masala…..so this is not spicy but Simply superb…With great smell and flavour of chicken and Gongura..You’ll love it…
