Easy Chicken Curry
Chicken – 1 kg cut into medium pieces.
Onion – 2 med chopped finely
Tomato – 3 med chopped
Ginger-Garlic Paste – 2 tbsps
Curry leaves – few
Oil – 3 tbsps
Whole Garam Masala – Cloves-3,Cinnamon-1 pc,Cardamom-3,pepper corns-1/2tsp,Bay leaf -1
Salt – as per taste
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Fresh coriander / Cilantro – a handful chopped
Method for preparation
First wash chicken and mix 2 pinches of salt and turmeric and place on heat to cook in its own juices turning in between and cover cook for 5 min.
Heat oil in a pan and add whole garam masala,fry a sec and add chopped onion and saute well.
Now add gin-gar paste and fry till brown,then add powder spices,and chopped tomato and fry well.now add prepared chicken pieces,curry leaves and salt mix well for 2 mins and let cook covered in its own gravy.No need to add water.Keep on low heat for 5-10 mins.
Turn off heat and mix in the chopped fresh coriander.
Serve hot with rice or chappatis.
