Sour Cucumber Chutney
Sour cucumber (Dosakai) – half of a medium size one
Onions – 2 med
Green chilis – 3-4
Tomatoes – 2 med
Tamarind – 2 small pieces
Oil – 2 tbsps
Salt – as per taste
1.Peel and wash the cucumber cut into small pieces.Chop the onions tomatoes and green chilis.
2.Heat a pan add oil and fry the cucumber pieces slowing strring till the edges turn light brown and remove and keep aside.
3.To the same pan add the chopped onions,green chilis and tamarind fry 3-4 mins,then add chopped tomatoes fry till done and loses its rawness.
4.Cool the fried ingredients and transfer all the fried ingredients along with the salt and 2tsp of water and grind coarsely to get the right chutney.
5.Transfer into a small bowl and serve with rice or kichidi or rawa upma.
