Palakoora Pacchadi (Spinach Chutney-2)
Palakoora (Spinach) – 1 Big bunch/Pack
Onion – 1 Large chopped
Tomatoes – 1 Large chopped
Green chilis – 4-5 chopped
Tamarind – 3-4 one inch pieces
Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
Turmeric powder – a pinch
Garlic pods – 1 big Sliced
Cumin – 1/2tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
1.Heat a fry pan,add oil and onions,green chilis,tamarind and fry for few mins .
2.Then add tomatoes and a pinch of turmeric powder,salt and cover cook till soft.
3.By the time wash and chop spinach leaves,add them to the pan and cover 2mins.
4.open lid and combine well let cook on low till almost all liquid evaporates.
5 Turn off heat,let cool,pick a few onion pieces from the cooked pan and set apart. And transfer the remaining to medium jar of the mixer add cumin,garlic slices and fresh coriander run the mixer to get coarse chutney .
6. Transfer the chutney to a dish and add the saved onion pieces and chopped fresh coriander.
Can be served with chappatis or rice or kichidi.
