Cauliflower Koot


Moong Daal – 1 cup
Cauliflower – 1 cup florets
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Roasted cumin and pepper powder – 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp

For Tempering

Oil – 2 tbsp
Mustardseeds – 1 tsp
Dry chilis – 3 broken
Curry leaves – 1 sprig


1.Wash moong daal and add washed cauliflower florets to the pressure cooker pan and add all the remaining ingredients except roasted powder and add 4 cups of water and cook for 6-7 mins.

2.Turn of heat and let cool then open lid and add roasted cumin ,pepper powder and lemon juice mix well.

3.Prepare Tempering and add to the koot.

Serve Hot With Chappatis or Rice And Rasam with Pappads.
