Wholesome Homemade Food……Satisfaction Guaranteed..!!!

Ingredients

Chana dal(Garbanzo beans)/ pachhi senaga pappu – 1/2 cup

Bottlegourd – Peeled,deseeded washed and chopped 1 big cup

Tomato – 1 med chopped

Turmeric powder – 3 pinches

Garam masala – 1/4 tsp

Salt – as per taste

For tempering/Talimpu

Oil – 1 tbsp

Mustard – 1/2 tsp

Garlic – 2pods crushed

Green chilli – 2 sliced

Curry leaves – 1 sprig

Onion – 1 med chopped

Method

1.Boil dal,bottlegourd pieces,tomato and turmeric powder adding 3 cups of water in a pressure pan till done.Do not overcook.

2.When done open lid and add salt and garam masala and slightly mash the dal not the vegetable pieces and  transfer into serving bowl and prepare tempering and add to this.

3.To prepare tempering,heat a pan add oil,mustard,crushed garlic,green chili,curry leaves and chopped onion.Stir for 2-3 mins do not fry onion much..BUT Only till translucent and pour over the dal curry.

This smells soo good and tastes Delicious too when served with chappatis…
