This is a Restaurant style Dish..Tried at Home….Came out well…Gotta Taste it…..you Need to try…
All you need is
Chicken Boneless (Thigh or Breast Meat) – 250 gms cut into small cubes.
Prepare a paste of the below ingredients
Cashew nuts – 15 (Soak in hot water or microwave for 1 min on high with little water)
Cinnamon – 1/2 inch piece
Cumin – 1/8 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1tsp
Yoghurt – 1 cup
Tomatoes – 3 med Blanched and skin removed
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Make a fine paste with all the above and keep .
Other ingredients are
Oil – 2 tbsps
Butter – 20 gms
Fresh cream or packaged – 60 ml
Fresh coriander – 1 tbsp chopped
Turmeric – 1 pinch
Wash and pat dry the chicken pieces and chop into cubes,Now heat a pan and add few drops of oil and saute chicken till the pinkness disappears,sprinkle a pinch of turmeric and salt and stir till liquid evaporates.Remove and keep.
Now in a large bowl take the prepared paste and drop the sauteed chicken and keep marinated for an hr or atleast 30 mins.
Heat pan and add oil and butter as it gets heated through pour the marinated mixture of chicken along with the marinade and stir continuosly on low to med heat to avoid curdling of the yoghurt .
As it starts boiling ,let cook for 7-10 mins on low and add the fresh cream and chopped fresh coriander.Add salt if required.
Normally the chicken appears orange in colour in restaurants due to food colour,But I’ve avoided it ,rather added a pinch of turmeric.
Transfer into another dish and serve hot with Nans or Parathas or Rotis.
