Light Chocolate Cake

 

LIGHT CHOCOLATE CAKE.

Ingredients.

•All purpose flour or plain flour(maida) – 150 gms
•Butter – 150 gms
•Powdered sugar or castor sugar – 150 gms
•Eggs – 3 large
•Baking powder – 1 tbsp
•Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
•Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp

METHOD.

1.Weigh the butter and cut into small cubes and let the butter come to room temperature.
2.Blend the sugar to prepare castor sugar and keep aside.
3.Sieve flour,baking powder and cocoa powder together to get well mixed keep these dry ingredients aside.
4.Now take a big mixing bowl and beat butter and sugar powder until creamy and eggs one by one and continue beating add vanilla essence and mix well.
5.Remove the hand mixer and fold in the dry ingredients just see u mix them well together .
6.Grease the baking tin well with butter and dust flour over it and shake off exess flour.
7.Pour the prepared cake batter into the tin see that there is not much in the centre level with spatula.
8.Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place the cake tin in the middle rack.
9.Bake it for about 30-40 mins.We can check after 25 min by opening the oven door and inserting a wooden skewer or sharp knife the skewer should come out clean and dry,if any batter sticks to it close door and continue baking for another few minutes.
10. Take care while doing this cause everything will be hot.When done remove and let it become warm before you turn the cake. cool over a wire rack.

Chocolate Cake Bars

Ingredients

Plain Flour – 300 gms
Soft Light Brown Sugar – 175 gms
Eggs – 3 whole
Sunflower oil – 180 ml
Cocoa powder – 2 tbsps mixed in 3 tbsps of boiling water
Baking powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Plain chocolate – 50 gms chopped
Oil for greasing – few drops

Preparation

1.Grease a 20.5 cm square tin or a rectangular one and dust it with flour,remove exess flour by shaking off.
2.Preheat oven to 180 C .
3.Sift flour and baking powder and keep.
4. In a mixing bowl take the cocoa powder and add boiling water and mix well then add oil and brown sugar and whisk well to mix and add eggs beat well to combine.
5.Now add the dry ingredients that is the sifted flour and baking powder mix to the wet ingredients combine well with the spatula,add chopped plain chocolate and pour into the greased tin,spread equally and place in the middle rack of the oven.
6.Bake for 30-40 min,If you use a rectangular tin and spread the batter in thin layer it bakes more faster it takes only 20-25 mins,but always check for doneness with the skewer in the middle of the cake,If the skewer comes out clean it is done .
7.Remove and cool,keep covered in a foil overnight.This is so soft and chocolaty.Cut into bars and serve.

NO ESSENCE ….NO BUTTER….STILL SMELLS GOOD.
