My home Pancakes
This is my basic recipe of Pancakes which I prepare at home and serve with Golden syrup and Butter. The Pancakes were so fluffy and super soft.I used whole wheat flour and all purpose flour together and cardamom powder for flavour. These pancakes can be made in many different varieties with different toppings and fillings and served with fruits and syrups.
These are small fluffy cakes prepared on a hot griddle cooking on both sides by flipping and stacking one over the other and served with syrup and butter or fruits.Even whip cream..
Whole wheat flour – 1 and a 1/2 cup
Plain flour/All purpose flour – 1/2 cup
Cardamom – 2 peel and powder the seeds
Baking soda – a pinch
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1/2 cup
Egg – 1 whole
Milk – 1 and 1/2 cups
Salt – a pinch
Butter – for frying
Take a mixing bowl and and add all the dry ingredients except sugar and keep,in another bowl crack an egg and add sugar and milk beat well and add the dry ingredients and mix well with the whisk and keep.
Mixing the Ingredients for Pancakes
Heat a pan or griddle and spread butter and pour a ladleful in three places and let cook , when this becomes bubbly and fluffy flip and cook the other side and remove .Do not cook more than once on each side,as this may make them stiff..
Stack one over the other and pour Maple syrup or golden syrup and butter and serve warm.
Eggs – 3 large
Salt – 2 pinches
Red chili powder – 1/4 tsp
Water – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
In a mixing bowl take 1 tsp water and add salt and red chili powder to it and mix well with the fork,Crack eggs into this mixture and beat till you get bubbles.
Before you start doing this keep a fry pan on low heat ,so you don’t need to wait after beating the eggs.
Now spread oil all over the pan and increase the heat and pour the egg mixture enough for making your required size of omelette, when it gets fried on one side turn to the other side and cover with a lid for 3-4 secs and remove from the pan.you get Fluffy omelettes .
Serve Immediately. or place them in chappatis and roll to pack lunch for kids. You can see this rolls in the other picture.
